Where's the COUNCIL?! The council IS the main plot!!!
Battle is not what makes the source material entertaining. Councils having lots of characters with screen time is precisely why they get more interesting. (Want to fondle the slime body.)
Depends on the character. Hinata's battle scenes were deeply unpleasant, and her council appearances are also unpleasant. The teaching-children scene was unpleasant. The ramen-and-gyoza eating scene was unpleasant. She might just be irredeemable.
For me: Clayman, 100%. 90% of the appeal was thanks to VA Yusuke Koyasu though.
Battle scenes don't need to be 10+ seconds. 'They fought, they won' is enough. Skip ahead and give us the magic-train opening tourism episode.
The original novel ended but the author seems eager to write side stories. The magic-train-creation arc and travel episode might happen eventually.
There was a WEB-version side story where Rimuru disguises himself as a female student and destroys students' fetishes/preferences.

The 3 demon lords + Storm Dragon's cheat avatars got swept aside way too easily, lol.

Rimuru-sama and Raphael-san and Milim — all voice tones changed a bit. They should match these more carefully — they're not eroge VAs.
